Jordan Larson drew last in a field of 65 on the last day of the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic, but he never had any doubts that Colonels Smart Spook could surpass a then-leading score of 224 in the Derby Open. The duo did it marking a 228.5!! Colonel Smart Spook is owned by John Amabile.
“He’s been knocking on the door for a while,” Larson said of the stallion owned by Sally Amabile. “I’ve had him a little over a year and he just keeps getting better.”
